SCO - Self Checkout
The Self Checkout (SCO): Designed to be a consumer friendly user facing application. These pages will walk you through the user journey and explain the back end functions and why.
Key Notes
- This Application is designed for pre-packaged goods to be scanned/looked up, and pay for the goods using a credit/debit card on a traditional Pin Entry Device.
- The application uses the Visual Profile you have set up previously using the Visual Composer.
- The application requires a Pin Entry Device to take payment. You will also need a live implementation, a K3 Connector, a compatible printer, supported Payment Terminal and a Payment Service Provider.
- NOTE: A Virtual payment option is available for demonstration and testing without the use of a Connector.
- This application is designed to run on a fixed SCO, with no keyboard input. it is recommended to use Google Chrome's Kiosk mode to prevent the users from holding down the touch screen for too long and simulating a right-click.
- The application has been designed to work with an NCR TriLight. This is a specific implementation and not general use and further device support needs to be added in future to support other models.
- NOTE: Weighted items, weighing scales, security scales or cash payments are not supported.
