An exchange is simply a mixture of Sale lines and Return lines.

Scan or search the items to be exchanged and press choose the reason for the return

Scan the replacement item if the replacement item is the same price then complete the transaction. 

You will see the subtotal simply reflects the net balance remaining for the transaction.

You can then use the Payment functions to complete the transaction.

If there is a cost difference the till will prompt for payment.
