This discount is the most basic type of promotion available. In short, it applies a discount percentage to the item which triggers the offer.


The top section allows you to enter the basic details about the promotion.



  • Discount Code - The code reference for this offer. This should be unique.
  • Discount % - The base percentage discount for this rule. This can be overridden on a per item basis
  • Description - A description of your offer
  • Start Date - The date the promotion starts
  • End Date - The date the promotion ends


The Show Extra Options allows you to set some extra parameters to your promotion which are not mandatory.



  • Start Time - The time of day the discount will be applied from - useful for "Happy Hours"
  • End Time - The time of day the discount will be applied until - useful for "Happy Hours"
  • Currency Code - The currency that this rule applies to
  • Combinable - Determines if this discount code can be combined with other offers.


With the basic details covered, you then choose which items are applied. See the Item Selection page for details. You'll be returned to the promotion to edit the item specifics. It will show the current price, and the discount which it has taken from the Offer Header. This can be overridden here.



Then you can Save the offer as Active or Inactive - Inactive offers do not get triggered.
